Bryan Roars Past UVa-Wise Volleyball Friday Night

Dayton, TN – Preseason Appalachian Athletic Conference favorite Bryan College roared past UVa-Wise in women’s volleyball Friday night. The Lady Lions shutout the Lady Cavs, 3-0 by game scores of 26-30, 18-30 and 24-30.

Bryan improved to a perfect 4-0 in the league and 5-4 overall while UVa-Wise fell to 7-7 on the year and 2-1 in the AAC.

Tasha Viers was the lone double figure kills player for the Lady Cavs with 15 kills and one block. Sam Puryea handed out 24 assists and Britney Lawson had 22 digs.

The Lady Cavs will continue their weekend AAC swing with a 10:30 a.m. match at Covenant before facing Tennessee Wesleyan starting at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
