UVa-Wise Takes McDaniel Late Friday

Lexington, Va. – Following a defeat to NCAA DIII's 19th-ranked team in Southwestern, UVa-Wise bounced back to take McDaniel College, 3-0. Natasha Viers and Kristen Salyer lined 13 kills as the Lady Cavs prevailed by game scores of 30-28, 30-27 and 30-26.

UVa-Wise (6-5) will take on Southern Virginia and Christopher Newport on Saturday in the second day of the Washington & Lee Tournament.

Sam Puryea had 41 assists and 18 digs while Britney Lawson dug 37 balls. Salyer dug 15 balls to go with her 13 kills. Viers added 14 blocks with her 13 kills. Whittney Lane chipped in nine kills and 11 blocks.
