Lady Cavs Run Win Streak to 12

WISE, VA - Jessica Cain delivered 15 kills and recorded five blocks Thursday as UVa-Wise extended its current match winning streak to 12 games with a 3-0 (30-28, 30-22, 30-18) Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over Bluefield College on Senior Night in Greear Gymnasium.

Senior Kendall Rainey added 39 assists, and Kari Sparks had 22 digs in the win. Freshman Evelyn Woods had seven kills and six blocks.

UVa-Wise has not lost a single game during its current match winning streak, giving the team a string of 36 consecutive wins.

The Lady Cavs currently are sitting in first place in the AAC with a 13-2 conference mark. They are 14-2 overall.

UVa-Wise ventures out of conference play next week when it travels to face Emory & Henry College at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct 19.
