Mission of the Department of Business and Economics

The mission of the Department of Business and Economics is founded on commitment to teaching excellence and continuous quality improvement. The Department guides and mentors its students to build the knowledge, skills, and values they will need in their journey of life-long learning to become the next generation of entrepreneurs and community leaders of economic prosperity.

Goals of the Department of Business and Economics

Departmental majors will:

1. Know foundational and intermediate principles of their major discipline.
2. Be well prepared for (a) entry level jobs in business, or (b) graduate study in their major field.
3. Be able to use their (a) knowledge of their discipline, (b) writing and speaking skills, and (c) microcomputer skills to analyze contemporary problems in their discipline, and thus be able to participate in solving these problems.
