Professional Profile
Dr. Gary R. Stratton is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Virginia's College at Wise. In addition to teaching a range of economics and finance courses at Murray State University, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, Dr. Stratton founded and continues to direct the Center for Economic Education at UVa-Wise. He consults with regional economic development boards in Southwest Virginia, is Chair of the Mountain Empire Regional Incubator Board, and is a member of the Wise Business Association. For more than a decade Dr. Stratton has been an active entrepreneur with business interests in real estate, state based mutual funds, and e-commerce.
