Wells Fargo
In November 2010, The University of Virginia’s College at Wise received support from the Wachovia Wells Fargo Foundation to support its Healthy Appalachia Institute.  With these funds, the Healthy Appalachia Institute will create two “Wachovia Wells Fargo Healthy Appalachia Institute Student Fellows” awards.  Working with a faculty mentor, the undergraduate recipients of each award will complete important research and program development endeavors to help improve health outcomes in Southwest Virginia.
