UVa-Wise alumni invited to annual meeting April 8

Alumni of The University of Virginia’s College at Wise are invited to attend the annual meeting of the UVa-Wise Alumni Association on Tuesday, April 8.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Alumni Hall, located across the street from the UVa-Wise campus.

Kathy T. Stewart, immediate past-president of the Alumni Association and chair of the nominating committee, will present the slate of candidates for the 2008-2009 Alumni Board election. Available positions for officers include treasurer and president-elect. Five member positions are also available. Additional nominations may be made from the floor during the meeting.

In addition, Pamela J. Collie, director of alumni relations for UVa-Wise, will present annual report of the association’s activities and events. Treasurer Ed Roop will provide a financial statement.

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Alumni Association will hold its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 8, at 6 p.m. at Alumni Hall, located directly across the street from the main campus of UVa-Wise.
