UVa-Wise spring art exhibit May 1-6
The Spring Semester Student Art Exhibit will take place May 1-6 on the fifth floor of the C. Bascom Slemp Student Center in the Dogwood Room. Works by art students in Senior Seminar classes as well as selected pieces from other spring classes will be exhibited.
The exhibit will open with a reception on May 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Center. A “Gallery Talk” with seminar students will begin at 6 p.m. Students will speak about their objectives for their work this semester and their experiences in the execution of the works displayed. The artist talks will feature graduating seniors Cathleen Russ and Tyger Williams as well as juniors April Ashby, Joey Blessing, Danielle Burke and Caroline Mastbrook.
The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Hors d’oeuvres will be available during the reception.
