Student art exhibit at UVa-Wise May 4-10

Art students at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise will display their creative works during an art exhibit that begins Wednesday, May 4 in the C. Bascom Slemp Student Center.

The exhibit, housed in the Student Center’s fifth floor conference area, will feature the works of six art seminar students: seniors Andrew Harris, Haynes Morris and Tim Smith, and juniors Barbara Church, Tessa Gardner, and Kari Sparks. Art by students in various visual art classes including lettering, printmaking, painting, drawing, and photography also will be displayed during the show, which continues through May 10.

The public is invited to attend a reception for the artists at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4 in the C. Bascom Slemp Student Center. Art seminar students will discuss their specific art work during the event.
