Phi Alpha Theta at UVa-Wise to hold book sale Dec. 2-3
Looking for a unique holiday gift? Still searching for the perfect present for the person who has everything? Then plan to attend the book Phi Alpha Theta book sale at The University of Virginia's College at Wise Dec. 2-3. The sale will be held on the second floor of Zehmer Hall from 9 am. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Wednesday, Dec. 3. YouÕll find fiction and non-fiction books of all types plus computer games, music CDs, and movies on VHS and DVD.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to help history students attend the Virginia regional Phi Alpha Theta conference at Old Dominion University and the national conference in New Orleans.
Phi Alpha Theta is a national history honor society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. Phi Alpha Theta seeks to bring students, teachers and writers of history together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical research and publication by its members. The UVa-Wise chapter was established in 2002.
