Galyean extended special appreciation a number of individuals and organizations that helped make the event a success including Donnie Sorah, Michael Cox, the Wise Kiwanis Club, Sandy Earls, Rhonda Goins, John Reeves and the entire UVa-Wise Buildings and Grounds crew, Campus Police, the Gate City High School Band and director Rick Lake, UVa-Wise Band students, and members of Alpha Sigma Phi.

The Highland Cavalier Marching Band Festival was sanctioned by the United State Scholastic Band Association’s (USSBA) division of Youth Education in the Arts.
