Book sale at UVa-Wise May 4-5

Looking for a great beach read? Still searching for the perfect present for the person who has everything? Then plan to attend the Phi Alpha Theta book sale at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Tuesday, May 4 and Wednesday, May 5. The sale will be held on the second floor of Zehmer Hall from 9 am. until 3 p.m. each day.

Patrons will find fiction and non-fiction books of all types. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help history students attend the Virginia regional Phi Alpha Theta conference at James Madison University next spring.

Phi Alpha Theta is a national history honor society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. Phi Alpha Theta seeks to bring students, teachers and writers of history together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical research and publication by its members. The UVa-Wise chapter was established in 2002.

For more information, contact Dana Sample, assistant professor of history, at (276) 376-4580 or via e-mail at dls4v@uvawise.edu.
