UVa-Wise concert choir, chamber choir to present free holiday concerts Dec. 6, Dec. 14

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Concert Choir will present a free holiday concert at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6 in the Chapel of All Faiths.

The Concert Choir, an organization open to all UVa-Wise students without audition, is under the direction of Michael D. Cox, instructor of music.

On Tuesday, Dec. 14, the UVa-Wise Chamber Choir will present a concert of holiday music. The performance, which is free and open to the public, begins at 8 p.m. in the Chapel of All Faiths.

The Chamber Choir will present choral works by Mozart, Victoria, Rutter, Hayes, Hogan, and others. Under the director of D. Michael Donathan, professor emeritus of music, the Chamber Choir is an auditioned choral organization open to UVa-Wise students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the community.
