Local high school students invited to College Night Sept. 10

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise invites area high school students to attend College Night on Monday, Sept. 10.

Representatives from over 40 regional and state colleges will be present to answer questions regarding admissions, academic programs, athletics and other interests.  Parents are encouraged to accompany students to experience this event.

College night is open for all high school students in Wise County and the City of Norton.

“College Night is a great opportunity for area students to discover the many educational opportunities available to them after graduating from high school,” said Rusty Necessary, Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management at UVa-Wise.

The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the fifth floor of the C. Bascom Slemp Student Center on the UVa-Wise campus. UVa-Wise Campus Police will be available to direct visitors through construction traffic, and UVa-Wise student ambassadors will be available to assist visitors throughout the evening.
