Children invited to FUNTASIA at UVa-Wise

Children of all ages are invited to a day filled with games, prizes, food and fun during FUNTASIA at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise on Saturday, Sept. 25.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. on the Lawn by the Lake. In the event of rain, events will be held in Smiddy Hall and the Chapel of All Faiths. Admission is free, however, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Children can meet a host of their favorite characters including the Very Hungry Caterpillar, Shrek, Scooby Doo, Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, Batman, Spiderman, Robin, Superman, Super Girl, Strawberry Shortcake, Raggedy Ann and Andy, and Lilo and Stitch plus Sesame Street and Wizard of Oz characters.

FUNTASIA is presented by Students of Virginia Education Association (SVEA) at UVa-Wise. Money collected from FUNTASIA will be used to buy coats, clothes and toys for SVEA’s annual Christmas drive for needy children.

Tickets for individual games are 50 cents. Pizza, popcorn and other food items will be available.
