Alumni and friends of UVa-Wise invited to Alumni-Homecoming Weekend Oct. 6-8

 It's Alumni-Homecoming Weekend at The University of Virginia's College at Wise and everyone is invited to join in the celebration.

The fun begins Thursday, Oct. 6 at 4:30 p.m. with a luau-themed meal under the big tent on the Lawn by the Lake. There will be lots of fun activities for all ages including a hula-hoop contest, a limbo contest, and the popular crazy boat race.   Law & Disorder will provide the musical entertainment.   Free and open to the public, the Luau by the Lake is sponsored by the Student Government Association, the Chancellor's Office, Student Activities, and the Alumni Association.

Friday, Oct. 7 is "Red and Gray Day." Wear school colors to support the Highland Cavaliers.  

Also on Oct. 7, the community is invited to attend the opening reception for the Annual Alumni Art Exhibit.   The reception will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Theatre Building.  

Saturday, Oct. 8, is game day as the UVa-Wise Highland Cavaliers take on Kentucky Wesleyan College at Carl Smith Stadium.   Kick-off is 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students. UVa-Wise students will be admitted free with a valid ID.
