Maintenance

The maintenance department is responsible for over 700,000 square feet of building area, fielding hundreds of work requests and set ups for campus events each year. An overview of their responsibilities and functions include:

 

  • Heating and cooling (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, fire/suppression/alarm systems, access control and locksmith, and other related general maintenance duties
  • Preventative maintenance and daily preparation of buildings for occupancy
  • Snow and ice removal of campus sidewalks and parking areas
  • Collection of recyclables
  • Special events assistance
