The mission of the UVa-Wise Alumni Phonathon is to raise private support to fund scholarships and various other programs.  The students serve as a link between alumni and their alma mater.

The Alumni Phonathon is a critical component of the success of the Annual Fund. Each fall and spring semester, a group of approximately 15 students call over 7,000 UVa-Wise alumni.  The purpose of each call is to verify the address we have on file, provide alumni with an update on current campus events, and lastly, to ask for their financial support.
