Abingdon Radiology Services provides professional services to Johnston Memorial Hospital, including a Women's Center and a new regional Cancer Center (to open in Spring/Summer 2007). Over 70k exams are performed per year with more than half being imaging procedures. An interventional service was added in July 2006 which has significant growth potential. Equipment includes multichannel CT (64, 40, and 4), 2 MRIs, 4D ultrasound, NM SPECT (including cardiac), mobile PET/CT, CR/DR, DEXA, Digital mammography, and Siemens digital stereo unit. In 2007, plans include installation of bi-plane angio suite as well as significant architectural changes. In February 2007, hospital will implement new McKesson HIS/RIS for optimal data integration. Board Certification and State license are required. Job will be performed in the Hospital. Daily routine include general diagnostic radiology in hospital and outpatient cancer center, shared with 3 partners, one being an interventionalist who also does general work. Skills should include MR, CT, US, NM (including cardiac, PET/CT), basic biopsy/drainage procedures and preferably mammography and break intervention.
