Assistant Director for Administrative Systems

The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for an Assistant Director of Administrative Systems. This position will report to the Director of Administrative Systems and will provide support for the College's various administrative systems. Primary responsibilities will include working with customers to develop and maintain: Custom reports, SQL stored procedures, advanced SQL queries, data exports to feed various systems, personalized training and how-to documents for the Jenzabar ERP system and enhancements to the Jenzabar student portal.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related computer systems information field is required. Additional requirements include knowledge of Transact-SQL, an understanding of database management concepts, a working knowledge of integrated database systems, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to work well with a variety of users of different skill levels in sometimes stressful situations.

Budget Manager, NGF Programs

The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for a Budget Manager for NGF (non-grant funded) Programs. This position will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of the College's Auxiliary Enterprise and other Non-general Fund operating budgets. The manager will perform specific analysis in forecasting revenue and expenditure patterns for each budget and planning cycle; review and monitor monthly budget activity for all NGF programs to verify revenue and expenditure actions are incompliance with State, University and College policies and procedures; prepare and submit budget requests as required by the University and the state Department of Planning and Budget; approve all student and general wage personnel actions as it pertains to available budget resources; approve requests for budget adjustments and new project/award create requests in the University integrated system; and prepare and manage various monthly reports as it pertains to budget activity within all NGF programs.  
 
A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required, as well as at least two years budgeting and financial experience. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, experience in the development of various financial spreadsheets, and strong analytical skills are also required.

HR Associate

The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for a Human Resource Associate. This position is responsible for various aspects of employment life at UVa Wise to include serving as timekeeper for staff; student and wage employment; assisting with employee relations issues; several aspects of the faculty hiring process, including advertising; performing monthly budget reconciliations; and coordinating programs such as the CommonHealth program and the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign.

IT Support Technician

The University of Virginia's College invites applications for a Help Desk Analyst in the Department of Information Technology. This position will provide consultative and technical support services to faculty, staff and students to ensure timely problem resolution, system/data access and optimal system performance; provide support for desktop, mobile computing, and client/server technology; and perform system upgrades, while providing high quality customer service.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as at least two years experience in an information technology field. Candidates must have an advanced understanding of various operating systems and applications (including Microsoft Windows and Mac OS).
