Study Abroad trip to Spain and Portugal

From left: Bethany Mosca, Page Howard, Catherine Weeden, Alesha Allen, a student from Huelva and Clay Guynn -on the beach in Huelva.

Maurice, Nancy and Clay in the Alcazar (royal castle) in Seville.

If I would have to describe the trip in a phase, I would say that I felt like "Alice in Wonderland". The American and Europena cultures are so similar yet different. We tend to forget that there is a whole world outside the United States. (Alesha)

Plaza de toros (bulfighting ring) in a Spanish village

It is hard for me to write about what the trip to Spain and Portugal has done for me without avoiding the ever so common cliché expressions that most tend to say after going on trip such as this. However, I now know that when people say things such as "I loved it!" and "It was the best experience of my life!" It is not an exaggeration, but the simple truth. (Nancy Stickel))

Alesha Allen in the famous Lisbon's tram

Through this trip, I was able to experience many things including but not limited to the historical museums, the gorgeous botanical gardens and parks, the engagement of Spanish conversation, and unique culture of daytime siestas and a vivid night life. (Alesha)

Royal Palace in Madrid

It has truly changed my life in more ways then I can describe, and I would definitely go again./.../ Everyday we learned so much, not just increasing our Spanish vocabulary or learning more about Christopher Columbus, but we learned about life.( Nancy Stickel)

People keep asking me what my favorite part of the trip was, but I could not possibly give an answer to that! The entire trip was filled with things that I will always remember from our days on the beaches to the nightlife to the beautiful palaces and cathedrals that were around almost every corner. I am extremely glad I was able to step outside of my comfort zone to have the experience of going to Spain! (Bethany Mosca)

This trip was something I will never forget. It was an experience of a lifetime and I found the culture differences amazing . (Clay Guynn)
