IT Policies & Secure Computing
Our mission is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and information maintained throughout our campus and its networks while providing our students, faculty, staff and community the resources to excel in their pursuits of academic enrichment.
What We Do
Information security includes, but is not limited to, the protection of all files, copyrighted materials, and e-mail, as well as network and system resources from unauthorized access, modification, loss and/or destruction.
The ability to succeed in our mission requires the cooperation and assistance of every person who makes use of our network and its resources. Users and their information are important core resources of the College and as such the safety and security of these resources should not be taken lightly. There is an old saying that states “A chain is only as strong as its weakest link…” please don’t be the weakest link, check out the rest of our web site for tips on securing your computer and its resources as well as information on what to do if your information/computer is compromised.
Report security breaches or suspected compromises immediately to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the IT Security & Policy Office in person, located in 281 Smiddy IT Wing or at extension 4641.
