Research Interests
I am considered to be an inorganic chemist, and most people assume that means transition metals or main group chemist. Well, not me. I am most interested in the f-block elements (lanthanides in particular). These elements perform a lot of unique chemistry, of which I have particular interests in redox systems. I spend a lot of time dealing with conflict between thermodynamics versus kinetic pathway and how this influences the eventual product outcome of a reaction.
