Facilities
OIT offers many facilities and equipment for student, faculty, and staff usage throughout the campus. There are numerous computer labs across campus equipped with the latest word processing software as well as access to the Internet and other frequently used programs such as Blackboard and Webmail. The majority of all UVa-Wise classrooms are equipped with state of the art multimedia centers which include a computer, VCR, DVD player, projector, and other equipment. Instructors and students may use the equipment to enhance learning through integrating power point presentations and other interactive materials in the lesson plan. Equipment Checkout
TSS offers two helpful equipment check-out programs for faculty, staff and students. First, a limited number of laptops are available on a first-come, first served basis for temporary check-out. The check-out procedure is outlined here. Second, TSS offers digital cameras and other digital capture devices for check out.  Details about this service are outlined here.

Computer Lab Reservations
Instructors and other staff members can reserve OIT ran computer labs for events and other functions. Educational themed events get priority over generic events.  If you are interested in reserving a computer lab, please contact the Helpdesk for further information.

Event Setup

If you are having an event on campus and wish for OIT to setup computer and/or audio visual equipment, please contact the Helpdesk for further information.

Audio visual equipment setup should be coordinated by contact Media Services.  Computer equipment setup is coordinated by Technology Support Services through the Helpdesk.
