Student Certifications and Enrollment Verifications

Student Enrollment Verifications can only be provided for current and past semesters of attendance. Certifications cannot be generated for upcoming semesters.

TYPES OF STUDENT CERTIFICATION/VERIFICATION

Good Student Discount:

Utilized by companies that offer discounts for students that maintain at least a 3.00 (B) grade point average.  The verification will include your cumulative GPA unless otherwise requested.  It will also include your enrollment

status (full-time / part-time) for that term.

Loan Deferment:

Verifications are required for student loan deferment.

Medical Insurance:

Insurance companies may require proof of enrollment.  Many require verification of "full-time" or "part-time" status.

Enrollment Certification:

Used to prove enrollment status at UVA-Wise.  It will include dates of enrollment, enrollment status (full-time or part-time), GPA (if requested) and/or expected date of graduation (if requested).  Please note, enrollment certification cannot be provided for an upcoming term.  Certification is only provided for past and current school terms. 

VERIFICATION PROCESSING PROCEDURES

Submitting a verification

Verifications may be submitted in the following ways:
-Request verification online, for immediate assistance
-Download the verification form from our webpage, and mail or fax the completed form to our office
- Mail or fax a company Verification Form
-Telephone requests provide verbal Enrollment Verification only, if written verification is necessary please follow one of the above methods.

Processing Time

The processing time is 2-4 business days for a verification to be mailed or readied for pick-up. However, the processing time is longer during the beginning of the semester, pre-registration, and graduation. There is no charge for verifications processed by the Registrar's Office.

Picking up a Verification

Please indicate on your request that it is to be picked up. Allow 2-4 business days for processing, and please contact us prior to your arrival to insure your verification is ready.
