UVa-Wise senior Dakota Mullins, in coordination with the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park, has created an exhibit for display in the Special Collections of the College’s library.

The exhibit, Valiant Virginians: Servicemen in World War I, focuses on area WWI soldiers. The objects in the exhibit are original and are on loan from the SWVA Museum.

Valiant Virginians explores the stories of soldiers from Southwest Virginia who were enlisted in the United States Armed Forces during World War I. The exhibit will run from March 15 through July 31 in the Special Collections Room in the library. The exhibit will be available for viewing on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

A small opening reception will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 15 just outside the Special Collections Room on the second floor of the library. The public is invited to attend.
