The Student Virginia Education Association and the UVa-Wise Education Department will host a Dr. Seuss 115th Birthday Party for area children on Feb. 28 in Greear Gym on campus.  The party, scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., is free to all children ages 0 – 12.  Children may come in costume, pajamas, or as they are, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The play “Green Eggs and Ham” will be performed at 6 p.m., then the children will have birthday cake and Seuss juice.  Green eggs, ham, and toast will also be provided.

There will be many games to play and crafts to make. Books that are highlighted this year are:  Oh, the Places You’ll Go; Horton Hears a Who; One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish; Fox in Socks; The Lorax; The Cat in the Hat; There’s a Wocket in My Pocket; Ten Apples Up on Top; and My Many Colored Days.
