Interested in an English class on the mystery novel? Does an Administration of Justice course on serial killers sound interesting? How about a Psychology class on sleep and dreaming? Or do you just want to earn a few more general education course credits toward your degree? If so, the University of Virginia’s College at Wise is the place for online summer learning.

College students and students who are entering college for the first time this fall have an opportunity to earn course credits by enrolling in some of more than 30 summer classes at UVA Wise. Summer courses are also open to students from other colleges and universities as well.

The online format gives students from across Virginia and beyond the opportunity to complete general education requirements or to meet elective needs during the two summer college sessions at UVA Wise. Financial aid is also available, including Pell federal assistance. Students who are interested in financial aid may contact the Office of Financial Aid by email at finaid@uvawise.edu or by scheduling a talk with a financial aid or admissions officer.

Students may choose from a variety of classes in business, education, English, music, psychology and sociology during one or both of the two five-week sessions. The first session begins on May 26 and ends on June 26.  The second session begins on July 6 and ends on Aug.  7. Registration for the first session has started and will end on May 27.  The second session registration is also ongoing and will end on July 7.
