Appalachian Music Project

The Appalachian Music Project connects K-12 students in the Wise County area with qualified private music instructors at no cost to students or their families. Students are offered lessons and mentored in practice activities by UVA Wise music majors, or they are invited to join the new Children’s Choir, beginning in spring 2023.

Make music with us!

The program runs Monday through Thursday, with individual lesson times scheduled between 4-6 p.m. Students will attend their scheduled times two days a week for a mix of lessons and practice times. The Children’s Choir rehearses on Thursdays from 4-5, with an additional sectional practice time on Mondays or Tuesdays.
