Nearby Kentucky and Tennessee students pay in state tuition beginning in fall

Students from Kentucky and Tennessee may attend The University of Virginia’s College at Wise under in state tuition rates if they live within 50 air miles from the Wise campus.   UVa-Wise officials said the move makes geographical sense because more than just state borders connect the region. The counties in Kentucky that are included in the in state tuition area are Bell, Breathitt, Floyd, Harlan, Knott, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Perry and Pike.
