Office of Student Activities

The Office of Student Activities is committed to providing leadership opportunities and sponsoring and supporting programs which enhance a sense of community on campus, foster recognition and appreciation of different cultures, and facilitate and nurture a collective sense of purpose.

The Office of Student Activities, along with the Student Activities Board, provides a variety of opportunities for students to be entertained on campus and get involved. Events and activities are hosted throughout the semester to engage students outside the classroom.

All events hosted by the Office of Student Activities and Student Activities Board are free unless otherwise noted. Your input is valued as part of the entertainment program, and all students are encouraged to join the Student Activities Board, where they can choose, plan, and host events and programs for their fellow students.

Join the Student Activities Board

Students apply each year to be members of the Student Activities Board (SAB) through an application and interview process with the Director of Student Activities and the President of the Student Activities Board. All students are invited to attend monthly meetings and give their input about events.

Members must show an active commitment to the Student Activities Board Mission Statement as well as the mission statement of the College. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Student Activities Board should come to the interest meetings at the beginning of the fall semester to learn more about the organization and how to apply.

SAB meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Honor Court Room on the third floor of the Student Center.

For more information about Student Activities events or the Student Activities Board, stop by the offices on the 3rd floor of the C. Bascom Slemp Student Center.
