David M. Klocek has been the Director of the Summer Program in Entrepreneurship and Cybersecurity since its inception in late 2017. He had served as a member of the development subcommittee of the U.Va. College at Wise international committee which first proposed such a program. He has been the Director of Assessment and Evaluation at the U.Va. College at Wise since September 2014. He previously served as an assistant dean, faculty chair, and admissions chair, as well as a professor of political science at the Institute of World Politics, a regionally-accredited graduate school of national security and international politics in Washington, DC; as an associate professor of political science at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan; and as social sciences department chair and assistant professor of political science at St. Mary’s College in Orchard Lake, Michigan. Prior to his work in higher education, he was an intelligence officer in the Central Intelligence Agency. He earned doctoral and bachelor’s degrees at Georgetown University and a Master’s degree at the University of Michigan. Mr. Klocek has publications in the areas of Eastern European international politics, political philosophy, and religion and politics.
