The Importance of Student Leadership

Learning to lead on campus helps students learn critical interpersonal and relational aptitudes, interact with the community around them, and engage in important service activities. Plus, these student leadership skills developed through on and off-campus opportunities equip graduates for success in their future careers and in life. At UVa-Wise, we strive to identify, cultivate, and celebrate our student leaders at every turn with opportunities, training programs, and awards.
