There Are So Many Ways to Give

Discover ways to support our school that you may not
have considered.

We Accept Many Different Donation Types

You can choose the type of giving that works for you, based on your interests or your tax situation. By providing a number of options, we hope to make it easy for you to contribute to the future of UVa-Wise.

Online Donations

We offer a method of giving online that is easy and convenient to you. Our online donation form has the option to select whether you want to make a single payment, split your gift into multiple payments, or pledge an ongoing gift. You also decide where your money goes, such as to scholarships, the Alumni Association, or another area.

Planned Gift Donations

Planned gift donations can be made through a legal allocation in life insurance plans, real estate, retirement plans, or bequests through a donor’s estate. Learn more about making a planned gift or download a Planned Giving Form.

Tributary Gifts

Tributary gifts are a beautiful way to support our students and honor or remember a loved one at the same time. You can make a gift in honor of someone or a special event in a loved one’s life or donate to our college in memory of a loved one who has passed. In addition, you can honor or memorialize someone by making a contribution for a personalized brick to be placed at the Twinleaf Clock. Find out more information about tributary gifts.

Corporate and Foundation Cooperation

Corporations and foundations are welcome to join us in partnerships to help our college and our students grow and to bring corporate or foundation projects to the college at the same time. Learn more about Corporate and Foundation Relations.

Senior Class Gift Project

Senior-year students have the opportunity to contribute to a gift that will make a lasting impression here at UVa-Wise. There are multiple ways to donate to the senior class gift.

Supporting our School through the Annual Fund

The annual fund is a mostly unrestricted, annual gift program that provides funding for programs and projects that are essential, but otherwise unfunded. The Annual Fund provides reliable financial support to programs that are critical to supporting our students’ education. Find out more about the Annual Fund.

Academic Support

You can give to a specific academic department using our online donation form to ensure that a specific department gets the materials, supplies, and other vital resources it needs to support our students with the best academic experience we can provide.  Learn more about academic gifts.

Athletic Support

Support our student-athletes by donating directly to our athletics department. You are welcome to donate to athletics as a whole, or you may make a donation to a specific sports team. Either way, you will be helping our student-athletes get the equipment and academic support that they need to be more successful. Learn more about supporting athletics.

Endowed Scholarships

You can help students afford the college education opportunities they need and deserve by donating money directly to our scholarship programs. You are welcome to donate money to the general scholarship programs, or you can donate to a specific scholarship. Find out more about our endowed scholarship funds.

Annual Fund Phonathon

Students can support our school by participating as a phonathon team member, which not only helps them improve their communication and organizational skills, but also allows them to help their school by donating their time. Find out how our phonathon works.

Donating Money with Matching Gifts

Many corporations match monetary gifts to our institution made by employees, board members, and other affiliates. Learn more about matching gifts, or find out if your employer matches contributions to our school by searching the University of Virginia’s Matching Gift database.

Other Ways of Giving Money

Bank drafts, checks, and Payroll Deductions (for UVa-Wise employees only) are additional great ways of donating money to UVa-Wise. Find out more about making a gift of cash.
