UVA Wise Chancellor Donna P. Henry welcomed the Class of 2030 and encouraged students to embrace the opportunities, challenges and experiences that will shape their college years.

The new 30-credit-hour, non-thesis graduate program combines advanced study in technology management, finance and financial technology, data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), business strategy and responsible technology governance.

UVA Wise has launched a new major in finance, expanding its business curriculum to prepare students for careers in corporate finance, banking, investments and financial planning.

The Bill Gatton Foundation was established to continue the legacy of Carol Martin “Bill” Gatton, a visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist who dedicated his life to supporting educational access, healthcare and community growth.

Fundraising efforts for the initiative totaled $103,871,543.55 and will have an impact of $131,275,796.51 thanks to the College’s ability to secure matching funds from the University of Virginia’s Bicentennial Scholarship program.
