The academic regulations and degree requirements described in a particular catalog year apply to all freshmen who first enroll at the College after August 1 of that year. A transfer student who first enrolls at UVA Wise may elect to use the most current catalog or the catalog used by most of his/her college graduating class. A student who re-enters the College after an absence of two or more regular semesters may elect to use the current catalog or the catalog used by most of his/her graduating class. A student may not use a catalog that is more than eight years old at the time of graduation.. Regardless of catalog year chosen, all course prerequisites and corequisites apply based on the current year catalog of record. Archived copies of past catalogs are available for perusal in the college library archives or the Office of the Registrar. Course descriptions are also available in the student information system.
