Research and Professional Development Funding Request for Faculty

The Office of Academic Affairs is pleased to support the professional activities of faculty who are seeking to advance in their disciplinary scholarship, in the dissemination of their knowledge or expertise in their fields, or in improvements in pedagogical approaches.  For pre-tenure faculty, who will be specifically evaluated on scholarly productivity during the tenure review, requests of up to $2000 (annually) will be considered. For all other faculty, requests of up to $1200 (annually) will be considered.

Requests will be considered at four points in time: September 1, 2023, October 15, 2023, January 15, 2024, April 1, 2024. Requests for support to present at/attend conferences or for research materials will be accepted. Please note that decisions may take up to two weeks, so plan accordingly. If you have a conference that you hope to attend later in the academic year, you may apply early, even if you have not received confirmation that your abstract has been accepted or have not otherwise verified your attendance.
