ABOUT THE EVENT — The Run for the Arts 5K and 1-Mile Walk event celebrates the visual and performing arts field and supports The University of Virginia’s College at Wise’s Department of Visual & Performing Arts curriculum and programming. The 5K and 1-Mile Walk courses are separate and showcase the beautiful UVA Wise campus. Participants that preregister are guaranteed a free t-shirt, and all participants are guaranteed free FUN! Awards will be presented to Overall Male and Overall Female 5K winners, as well as to the top-three finishers in each 5K age division. All ages are encouraged to participate!
REGISTRATION —The registration fee for participation in the 5K is $25 per person ($20 for pre-registration or with presentation of student ID). The registration fee for participation in the 1-Mile Fun Walk is $12. Note: Those who pre-register by September 27th are guaranteed a t-shirt.

CHECK-IN DETAILS — The 5K and 1-mile Walk check-in and final registration begins at the UVA Wise Gilliam Center for the Arts (located next to the lake) at 9 a.m. The 5K and Walk begin at 10 a.m.
