Information for Students
Career Discovery & Planning (CDP) offers advising, programming, and information to help you transition in your college careers through post-graduation. One-on-one career counseling is available to individuals deciding their next step – choosing a major or career path, developing professional skills and materials, pursuing a variety of opportunities in work, experiential learning, advanced education, and scholarship.
In addition, the Office of Career Discovery & Planning provides a centralized system, Handshake, for you to find part-time and full-time jobs, seasonal employment, internships, fellowships, and networking events. For recruitment, career programs, and events, we collaborate with partners across the UVA Wise campus and throughout our region, and share announcements via Handshake, email, Instagram, Involve, and other media outlets on campus.
Career Discovery & Planning also welcomes the chance to partner with you or your student organization on programs and events that aid your professional growth.
