When is Move-In Weekend?

We are excited to soon welcome you to campus! Spring 2022 Move-In Weekend for residential students will be Sunday, January 16 and Monday, January 17

All students (regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status) will need to provide a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test result that is taken on/after January 11, 2022, prior to your return to campus. The copy of this test result should be emailed to  You will not be cleared to return to campus until the Health Clinic has reviewed your result. 

After you have been cleared by the Health Clinic to return to campus, residents of:

  • Cavalier Trails Community (McCraray, Culbertson, or Still Halls) will check in and pick up your room key in the lobby of CULBERTSON HALL between 12-5pm on 1/16 or 1/17.
  • Highland Hills Community (Henson, Asbury, Thompson or Martha Randolph Halls) will check in and pick up your room key in the lobby of HENSON HALL  between 12-5pm on 1/16 or 1/17. 

Students arriving early for an athletic camp, band camp or other official College event, please follow the instructions of your coach or supervisor regarding Move-In dates, times, and details.

What should I bring?

Consult the Guide to Campus Living and the Housing Agreement for policies and procedures, as well as approved and prohibited items, room dimensions, etc.  See the additional suggestions noted below.

Basic Necessities

Consider packing the sure to check with your roommate to avoid duplicating what you bring.

  • Seasonally appropriate clothing
  • Sheets (twin, long)
  • Raincoat or umbrella
  • Clothes hangers

  • Refrigerator (may not exceed 4 cubic feet)

  • Power strip with reset button (no extension cords)

Where can I park?

Follow the directions of Campus Police when you arrive for Move-In Day. Students and families should unload belongings and then move vehicles to the appropriate parking areas at Greear Gymnasium (for visitors) or the designated lots (for students).
