Kiser

A 2000 alumnus of UVA Wise, Kiser has served as the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Operations since July 1, 2021.  Kiser majored in accounting, holds an M.B.A., completed his master’s degree in education at UVA, and also completed the Harvard University Management Development Program. With more than 21 years of experience at the College, Kiser has worked to find innovative ways to achieve and advance UVA Wise’s goals through financial planning.

Kiser provides direction, oversight, and management for UVA Wise’s financial and budget operations, procurement, campus police, capital operations and facilities management, the David J. Prior Convocation Center, Ely Health & Wellness Center, and other auxiliary enterprises. 

Prior to assuming his current role, Kiser served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, 2020-21, and Director of College Services from 2003-2021.  Kiser was hired as an Accountant at the college immediately after graduating, and remained in that position until his promotion in 2003.

Kiser is married to Selena Kiser, an alumna of the class of 2000 as well.  They have two sons, Hunter and Tanner, both who attend Central High School.
