Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration
The Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (VCFA) is a full-time, 12-month position, reporting directly to the Chancellor. Leading a team of Finance and Administration professionals, the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration demonstrates a broad knowledge of strategic financial and administrative operations in higher education or other non-profit organizations of similar size, complexity, and scope. The vice chancellor has a number of direct reports and oversight of many operational units, including: finance, budgeting, facilities management (including construction), campus police, human resources, and auxiliary services. The Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (VCSA) is a full-time, 12-month position, reporting directly to the Chancellor. Leading a team of Student Affairs professionals, the VCSA ensures an open, equitable, and inclusive process for access to educational programs, oversees budgets serving as resources for Student Affairs-related programming, maintains integrity of and appropriate access to educational records, and plans and executes a comprehensive student engagement/development program for all students. Job Opportunities at Wise

Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse
Assistant Coaches work with one sports program and are responsible for contributing to the successful execution of objectives as defined by the Head Coach. They participate in the planning, design, implementation, management, and completion of an effective team strategy. They analyze, coach, instruct, recruit, retain, and advise current and prospective student athletes. Work is self-guided, but performed under the supervision of the Head Coach.

Assistant Professor in Psychology
The Social Science Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in its Psychology program, with preference given to expertise in cognitive psychology or related fields. The position is a full-time, 9-month commitment at the assistant professor level and with the potential for summer teaching and research support. Duties include creating and teaching courses in introduction to psychology, cognitive psychology, and behavioral and learning psychology, as well as upper-level courses in the applicant’s field of expertise; serving the department and college on various committees; advising students; pursuing ongoing scholarly activity, particularly that involves undergraduates; and assisting the department chair with assessment and other duties as needed.

Library Specialist, Acquisitions & Fiscal Manager
Library Specialists perform professional duties and responsibilities for a variety of routine and well-defined technical library services. They specialize in one particular branch of library service, such as bibliographic searches, descriptive and routine cataloging, maintaining electronic resources and services, library circulation services and supervision, processing inter-library loans, or scanning and processing library acquisitions. In smaller departmental libraries, they may perform combination of duties. They assist library patrons in locating and using library resources and explain library policies and procedures. Library Specialists supervise clerical and student workers. Work is performed independently, guided by a supervisor.

Assistant Professor in Software Engineering
The Math and Computer Science Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Software Engineering. The position is a full-time, 9-month appointment at the assistant professor level and with the potential for summer teaching and research support. Duties include creating and teaching courses in software engineering and related topics; serving the department and college on various committees; advising students; pursuing ongoing scholarly activity, particularly that involves undergraduates; and assisting the department chair with assessment and other duties as needed. In addition, as the only 4-year, public program in Software Engineering in Virginia and with expressed interest in software engineering graduates in the region and the Commonwealth of Virginia, the position opens the door for collaboration with industry and economic development officials.

Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator
The University of Virginia's  College at Wise invites applications for an Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator for the Office of Economic Development & Strategic Initiatives.  This is a full-time position with an office located at The Nest in Wise.  The UVA Wise Office of Economic Development & Strategic Initiatives serves Southwest Virginia communities, citizens, and employers to support our region's vitality through economic development, education, entrepreneurship, innovation, health and wellness.  Our service and support extend to UVA Wise students, faculty, staff, and professionals including those in economic development as well as organizations, employers and citizens of the region.  This position is currently grant funded through June 30, 2023.

Adjunct Instructor in Percussion
The University of Virginia’s College at Wise, Division of Music seeks applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor in Percussion for Fall semester 2021. This is a part-time, semesterly appointment with potential for semesterly renewal. This teaching faculty position also has the potential for collaboration with the Marching Highland Cavalier Drumline. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with fellow Division of Music faculty to teach Applied Percussion to music majors, minors and other UVA Wise students.

The Trades Technician I role provides career tracks for trades technicians, such as grounds workers or trades/utilities workers, that perform a variety of tasks ranging from routine and unskilled to semi-skilled tasks.

TEMP Housekeeper
The Housekeeping and/or Apparel Worker I role provides career tracks for housekeepers, laundry and dry cleaner workers, and tailors performing entry level to advance level services in the areas of housekeeping, laundry,tailoring, and dry cleaning

TEMP Administrative Assistant
The Administrative and Office Specialist I role provides career tracks for operational and administrative support specialists such as the office support aides or postal aides providing entry-level support by performing well-defined office duties of a routine and repetitive nature under close supervision.

Assistant Athletic Trainer
Assistant Athletic Trainers are typically assigned to one primary, potentially recognizable, sports program and will support other secondary sports programs. They operate with authority and independence with the sports they are assigned with oversight by the Head Athletic Trainer.
