Executive Searches

Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration
The Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (VCFA) is a full-time, 12-month position, reporting directly to the Chancellor. Leading a team of Finance and Administration professionals, the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration demonstrates a broad knowledge of strategic financial and administrative operations in higher education or other non-profit organizations of similar size, complexity, and scope. The vice chancellor has a number of direct reports and oversight of many operational units, including: finance, budgeting, facilities management (including construction), campus police, human resources, and auxiliary services. The Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (VCSA) is a full-time, 12-month position, reporting directly to the Chancellor. Leading a team of Student Affairs professionals, the VCSA ensures an open, equitable, and inclusive process for access to educational programs, oversees budgets serving as resources for Student Affairs-related programming, maintains integrity of and appropriate access to educational records, and plans and executes a comprehensive student engagement/development program for all students. Assistant Professor of Software Engineering
The Math and Computer Science Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Software Engineering. The position is a full-time, 9-month appointment at the assistant professor level and with the potential for summer teaching and research support.

Instructor in Spanish
The Language and Literature Department invites applications for an Instructor in Spanish. The position is a full-time, 9-month appointment as teaching faculty with the potential for summer teaching and the potential for annual renewal.

Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry
The Natural Science Department invites applications for a position in its ACS-approved Chemistry program.  The position is a tenure-track faculty position in Analytical Chemistry. The position is a full-time, 9-month commitment at the assistant professor level and with the potential for summer teaching and research support.

Program Support Technician
The University of Virginia’s College at Wise seeks applications for a Program Support Technician in the Office of Advancement. Duties include working with the Vice Chancellor for Advancement to manage the stewardship process which includes essential creative writing of drafts of acknowledgement letters and other important donor correspondence.

Housekeeper
Housekeepers perform basic indoor and outdoor housekeeping duties including, but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash. They often work in teams to provide neat, safe environments for residents, staff, students, faculty, and guests in assigned areas.

Director of Residence Life
The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for a Director of Residence Life.  This position is a 12-month live-on position that reports to the Dean of Students and is a member of the Division of Student Affairs team.

Admissions Counselor
Admissions Counselors perform administrative responsibilities, including preparation of marketing materials, coordination of admissions interviews and programs, advising prospective and current applicants, and supporting the initiatives of Deans and Directors.

TEMP Grounds Worker
The Trades Technician I role provides career tracks for trades technicians, such as grounds workers or trades/utilities workers, that perform a variety of tasks ranging from routine and unskilled to semi-skilled tasks.

TEMP Housekeeper
The Housekeeping and/or Apparel Worker I role provides career tracks for housekeepers, laundry and dry cleaner workers, and tailors performing entry level to advance level services in the areas of housekeeping, laundry,tailoring, and dry cleaning

TEMP Administrative Assistant
The Administrative and Office Specialist I role provides career tracks for operational and administrative support specialists such as the office support aides or postal aides providing entry-level support by performing well-defined office duties of a routine and repetitive nature under close supervision.

Assistant Athletic Trainer
Assistant Athletic Trainers are typically assigned to one primary, potentially recognizable, sports program and will support other secondary sports programs. They operate with authority and independence with the sports they are assigned with oversight by the Head Athletic Trainer.
