Cost of Attendance
Undergraduate Cost of Attendance (Fall/Spring)
There are two types of costs considered in the financial aid process: direct costs and indirect costs. Together these costs represent the official cost of attendance (student budget). We encourage all prospective students and their families to evaluate UVA Wise’s net price. The net price reflects the actual out-of-pocket expense to attend UVA Wise after deducting grants, scholarships, and other educational benefits from the "sticker" price.
Direct Costs
Direct costs are charged directly to your student account and payable to the college. They always include tuition and fees. They will also include housing and meals if you are living on campus and purchasing a meal plan.
Indirect Costs
Indirect expenses vary per student and are not included in your bill. These include books/supplies, transportation and personal expenses.
The figures below are estimated 2025-2026 costs per year for full-time (12+ credits per semester), on-campus, undergraduate students. Financial aid for undergraduate students is awarded under the assumption that a student is attending full-time each Fall and Spring semester.
