Leading Organizational Change Process: William Wilberforce -The Abolishment of Slavery

Organizational changes are often unavoidable due to several reasons such as achieving greater efficiency and productivity, aligning with the organizational mission, the creation of a more fulfilling, productive, and attractive workplace - all of which are usually carried out by visionary leaders. This seminar centers on the analysis of “The Kotter’s 8 Steps for Leading Change ” and its application to the movie/book “Amazing Grace” which tells the story of the remarkable life of the British Abolitionist William Wilberforce (1759 - 1833). The book/movie chronicles Wilberforce's extraordinary role as a human rights activist, cultural reformer, and member of Parliament and how he was able to capture people’s attention to abolish slave trade.
