Garth Newel Piano Quartet To Perform At UVA Wise

The Garth Newel Piano Quartet is known for their spirited and impassioned performances that offer an enlivened interpretation of both standard and new repertoire. Pro-Art and the University of Virginia’s College at Wise (UVA Wise) present the Garth Newel Piano Quartet on Monday, May 11th at 7 p.m. in Cantrell Hall at UVA Wise. The performance is free and open to all and brought to you in conjunction with Pro-Art’s W. Campbell Edmonds Concert Series and the Clinch Valley Concert Series at UVA Wise. As artists-in-residence at Garth Newel Music Center, one of the premier and most active chamber music organizations in the United States, the Garth Newel Piano Quartet programs and performs over 50 concerts each year, engaging with audiences through conversational and interactive programs on the national and international stage. They've performed at such prominent venues as Carnegie Hall, Strathmore Hall, and The Chautauqua Institution. The quartet is Teresa Ling (violin), Fitz Gary (viola), Isaac Melamed (cello), and Jeannette Fang (piano).
