Department of History and Philosophy

The Department of History and Philosophy offers a history major for the Bachelor of Arts degree. It also offers minors in both history and philosophy which are open to all students.

UVa-Wise graduates with history or philosophy degrees have pursued successful careers in law, journalism, teaching, museums, archives, historic sites, government service, and business.
