Education

Overview

For more than a quarter of a century, the Education Department at UVA Wise has become one of the best colleges for teaching degrees, having prepared hundreds of pre-service teachers to enter and succeed in the teaching profession.

The current full-time and part-time faculty of the Education Department of the College carries on that tradition by challenging and encouraging our future teachers to meet the needs of our children as they face an ever-increasingly complex world. The education professors bring a diverse wealth of knowledge, scholarship, and experience to their teaching and advising; they are committed to the success of every student who has accepted the rewarding challenge of exceptional educational studies and becoming a teacher.
