Established by Jeannie A. and Robbie F. Stallard, the Stallard Fellowship supports outstanding students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics at UVA Wise.

Some students find themselves having to expand their college search across the nation to find an institution that checks all their boxes. Olivia Baker, however, found what she was looking for right in her own backyard.

The gift will be matched with a $500,000 investment from the University of Virginia’s Bicentennial Funds, bringing its total impact to $1.5 million. The gift also provides a leadership endowment to support the College’s LEAD Southwest Virginia program.

UVA Wise announced today a historic investment in its students, programs and facilities. The Bill Gatton Foundation gifted the College $11.2 million to establish funds to support multiple key initiatives at UVA Wise.

In the spring of this year, Mike and Debbie Quillen made a $1 million gift to the College. In recognition of their gift, The Quillen Court at the David J. Prior Convocation Center was named. The Quillen’s’ generosity funded many student needs at UVA Wise.
