Planned gift donations can be made through a legal allocation in life insurance plans, real estate, retirement plans or bequests through a donor’s estate.

Make a Tributary Gift
Tributary gifts provide a beautiful way to honor family or friends or to remember those who have passed away while supporting the College. Gifts may be designated to an area that would be meaningful to the honoree or to an area where the donor has a passion.

Join us to help our students grow while bringing corporate or foundation projects to the College.
Support through the Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is a mostly unrestricted, annual gift program that provides funding for programs and projects that are essential, but otherwise unfunded. The Fund provides reliable financial support to programs that are critical to supporting our students’ education.
By making contributions from year to year, alumni and friends provide a reliable stream of support for academic and student-life programs and encourage others to give as well. State funds and tuition alone do not meet the cost of educating today’s students.

Annual Fund Class Council & Advisory Committee
The Annual Fund Class Council is composed of an alumni class volunteer who works to stay informed about the happenings at the College in an effort to communicate with fellow classmates to raise awareness of the need for financial support for the College.
With support from the Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement, the Annual Fund Class Council Advisory Committee promotes the importance of annual unrestricted contributions to the Annual Fund. These volunteers have also committed to making an annual gift in support of the College’s efforts.
The Annual Fund fiscal year ends June 30 of each year.

Matching Gifts
Double or even triple your gift to UVA Wise through our matching gifts program.
Almost 1,000 corporations match gifts made by employees, board members, retired employees and spouses to their institution of choice. Matching gifts enable you to double or even triple your gift to UVA Wise. Alumni and friends receive full credit and recognition for personal gifts as well as corporate matches.
Participation is simple! Just search the University of Virginia’s Matching Gift database to see if your employer matches contributions. Please obtain a matching gift form, complete the form, submit it to your employer and watch your gift grow!
