Housing Applications & Forms
Housing Applications
Students, both new and returning, will utilize the UVA Wise Housing Application to apply for housing and select their room and roommate for the academic year. Residence Life reserves the right to change any housing assignment or selection.
Guide to Campus Living
The Guide to Campus Living is a residence life handbook that includes important housing policies, procedures, and general information. Students are also encouraged to consult the College Catalog and the Student Code of Conduct for additional information regarding academic policies and regulations and student conduct expectations. This guide is a supplement to the binding housing agreement, which a student signs and agrees to when applying for campus housing.

First-Year Residency Exemption
Any first-year student who is not a permanent resident of Wise County or the City of Norton wishing to be exempted from the residency requirement must submit the Residency Exemption Form, along with a completed Application for Campus Housing through the housing portal. Exemption requests are reviewed by the Housing Appeals Committee and the Chair of the Committee will notify the student in writing via email as to the final decision. Married students or students over the age of 21 are exempt from the first-year residency requirement.
